FMI gennemfører et udbud med henblik på at indgå en aftale omkring operationel leasing af computere og tablets til Forsvarets simulationscentre. FMI har til en start til hensigt at lease 180 desktops og 255 tablets med et forventeligt muligt senere aftag på 100 laptops og 245 tablets. Kontraktens præcise mængde skal dog være fleksibel med løbende mulighed for både op- og nedskalering i henhold til bestemmelserne i kontrakten. Den eksakte mængde undervejs i aftalens løbetid kan derfor afvige i både op- og nedadgående retning. Aftalen har en løbetid på 3 år med mulighed for forlængelse op til samlet 5 år. Som en del af leasingydelsen skal leverandøren (leasinggiver) forestå løbende support og vedligehold af udstyret, herunder on-site support og vedligeholdelse. Herudover er det et sikkerhedsmæssigt krav fra FMI's side, at FMI skal beholde alle databærende enheder (eksempelvis harddisk) ved aftalens udløb. FMI køber således databærende enheder på alle genstande i forbindelse med aftalens ikrafttræden. Udstyret skal installeres på Forsvarets simulationscentre som er fordelt på på kaserner og andre lokationer i hele Danmark. Udstyret skal kunne køre diverse simulationssoftware som Forsvaret anvender, og mindstekravene til udstyret er fastsat på baggrund af krav til ydelse ud fra dette brug. Leverandøren skal derfor kunne levere i hele landet, og da arbejdet foregår på Forsvarets lokationer er det et krav, at leverandørens medarbejdere skal være sikkerhedsgodkendt. Det er et krav fra FMI's side, at der skal ske levering indenfor 130 dage fra aftalens indgåelse, ligesom der evalueres på hvorvidt der kan leveres hurtigere.
