The third call for proposals aimed at supporting reconstruction in Ukraine involving the Swiss private sector was launched today. The focus is on investment projects aimed at constructing facilities for long-term production and/or operations in Ukraine. The federal government is providing up to CHF 50 million to co-finance the projects.

Under the third call for proposals, Swiss companies with a presence in Ukraine are invited to submit project proposals that contribute to Ukraine’s reconstruction and economic recovery. The focus is on investment in the construction and reconstruction of facilities for production and/or operations in Ukraine. In the long term, the facilities are to be operated by the existing Ukrainian subsidiaries of Swiss companies.
The projects supported are intended to benefit Ukraine’s economy, promote the country’s resilience and strengthen the economic partnership between Switzerland and Ukraine. Following the selection procedure, which is set to run until spring 2027, the selected projects will be implemented as soon as possible.
The amounts available for individual projects range from CHF 3 million to CHF 10 million. Companies are expected to contribute at least half (50%) of the funding required for their project. Projects will be selected in a two-stage process. A committee comprising representatives from the Swiss and Ukrainian authorities will decide which project proposals to support, based on a ranking and defined selection criteria. Swiss companies with an established presence in Ukraine that are interested in participating can submit their project proposals via SECO’s ‘Call for Proposals’ website by 20 September (see link below).
Country programme for Ukraine 2025–2028
In its country programme for Ukraine 2025–2028, Switzerland has provided more than CHF 1.5 billion to finance reconstruction, reforms and sustainable development projects. CHF 500 million is available for financing Swiss private sector projects. This will be used to finance the new reconstruction projects.
The call for proposals is open until 20 September. Detailed information can be found on the website:
