Invitation to a supplier conference for the Norwegian Defence ́s digital transformation in Fanehallen 5 October 2026 The Norwegian Defence and Defence Material Agency invites tenderers, research and education institutions as well as other relevant actors to a supplier conference 5 October 2015 at 09.00-12.00 in Fanehallen at Akershus fortress. The Norwegian Armed Forces are facing a historic commitment to digitalisation and technological modernisation. The aim is to strengthen the Norwegian Defence ́s operative ability through a modern digital foundation, increased use of data and artificial intelligence, stronger interaction across the branches of the armed forces and better decision support in all domains. In the coming years, significant investments will be made including modernisation of the Norwegian Armed Forces' secure platforms, the development of the future digital work surface, modernisation of performance critical joint systems (ERP), establishment and modernisation of data centre, network and communication capacity, strengthened cyber security, utilisation of artificial intelligence as well as the establishment of modern platform and cloud services. The Norwegian Armed Forces cannot realise and succeed with this ambition alone. A successful digital transformation requires close cooperation between the defence sector, the supplier market, academia and other actors in the total defence. The aim of the conference is therefore to give the market insight into the Norwegian Armed Forces' strategic direction, planned commitments and future needs, at the same time as facilitating an open dialogue on possibilities, technology development and forms of cooperation.  Topics that can be expected to be addressed at the supplier conference: The Defence Staff: Strategic Framework and Direction Vision, strategic guidance and relevant priorities for the development of a data-driven defence, including the status of the Norwegian Armed Forces' digital transformation and presentation of new management documents. How data, artificial intelligence and digitalisation shall contribute to increased operative effect. The Norwegian Armed Forces: The sector's need for digital capabilities and the effect Road ahead for digital capabilities: Strategic commitments, priorities, future needs and desired effects for the sector's digital development.      Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency: Procurements and market dialogue Strategies for procurement and market involvement in order to realise the future of digital defence. The conference is a part of the Norwegian Defence ́s market dialogue and is being held to increase mutual understanding between the defence sector and the market. The information presented shall contribute to better predictability for suppliers and form the basis for future procurements and collaboration possibilities. Participation in the conference does not provide any competitive advantage in later procurements. Any future procurements will be made in accordance with the procurement regulations and announced in the ordinary way. Register via the link below: The supplier conference 5 October 2026 Registration deadline is 1 October, 15:00. Due to capacity and security reasons, there can be limits on the number of participants. Each company is invited to provide up to two representatives if the company has fewer than 200 employees, three representatives of 200-400 employees and four representatives if the company has more than 400 employees. There will be access and ID control by the entrance. The strategic management documents will be digitally made available right after the conference. The meeting will be held physically and the language will be Norwegian.
